Install the Assembly in GAC

You can call gacutil.exe and specify the/I command lineProgramSet to install in GAC,

You can call the/u option to detach an assembly from GAC.

Only strongly-named assembly can be installed in GAC. Non-strong-named assembly cannot be installed in GAC. An error is reported during installation.

However, gacutil.exeis not installed on the client, but can be installed through msiexec.exe.

 

Note: gacss can only be operated by the members of the Windows Management Organization. If you do not call gacutil.exe, the operation fails.
