Install the database Oracle client in Ubuntu 16.04

Install the Oracle database client in Ubuntu 16.04 to connect the Django project to a remote Oracle database.

1. Download the oracle client installation package:

Go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/linuxx86-64soft-092277.htmlto download the three required packages.

Oracle-instantclient11.2-basic-11.2.0.4.0-1.x86_64.rpm oracle-instantclient11.2-devel-11.2.0.4.0-1.x86_64.rpm oracle-instantclient11.2-sqlplus-11.2.0.4.0-1.x86_64.rpm

2. Install with alien

Download alien (alien can convert rpm format to dev format for rpm package installation ):
