Cinnamon is a user interface in the Unix-like system. It is a derived version of GNOME Shell. It was initially developed for Linux Mint and provides a quasi-real interface that is as easy to use as GNOME 2. Cinnamon uses Muffin, a derived version of the window manager Mutter of GNOME 3, as the default window manager from version 1.2.
