TypeCatcher is an open-source tool software that allows users to download and use Google fonts offline. It has a database with over 600 fonts, including popular fonts such as Cantarell (GNOME), Oxygen (KDE), or Roboto (Android ). The latest available version is Typecatcher 0.2, which has recently been released and supports Ubuntu 14.04.

The installation of PPA is very convenient. Open the terminal and enter the following command:
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: andrewsomething/typecatcher
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install typecatcher
Run the following command to uninstall typecatcher:
Sudo apt-get remove typecatcher
Remove PPA:
Sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
Sudo ppa-purge ppa: andrewsomething/typecatcher
