Install the Netgear wg1_v2 driver on Ubuntu

Wireless Network Card. I am using Netgear wg511 V2 of PCMCIA Interface. Ubuntu 7.10 does not provide its driver by default, so we need to install the driver ourselves.

  1. First, prepare the windows driver for the wireless network card. The. inf file and the. SYS file corresponding to the network card driver. These two files can be found in the "Windows" INF folder after the driver is installed.
  2. Sudo apt-Get install ndiswrapper-common ndiswrapper-utils-1.9
  3. Sudo ndiswrapper-I wg1_v2. inf
  4. Sudo ndiswrapper-l
  5. Sudo ndiswrapper-m
  6. Sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
