Install the print server and NAT server in Ubuntu7.10

Previously, I installed Ubuntu7.04 + CUPS on the old PII PC as the printing server. The performance is also good, that is, the PC is sometimes a little slow. When Ubuntu7.10 came out, I decided to find a better PC and reinstall a printing server. It is simpler than expected. Download an ISO file for Ubuntu7.10Desktop, and install it on a dial. After installation, connect the printer, and the system will find the printer, and then automatically install it, including CUPS. So you only need to select the shared printer in the printer settings. Previously, I installed Ubuntu 7.04 + CUPS as the printing server on the old PII PC. After installation, connect the printer, and the system will find the printer, and then automatically install it, including CUPS. So you only need to select the shared printer in the printer settings. I just couldn't find where to modify the printer sharing name, so I had to manually change it.

The old PC still needs to be responsible for NAT Internet access on several machines, so it also needs to install Firestarter, which is still an old problem after installation. You need to change the configuration file:

$ Sudo vi/etc/firestarter. sh, add

LANG = en_US

Then, add two policies to Firestarter to allow SSH and IPP. SSH is convenient for remote management, and IPP is for print sharing.
