A Description

After SAP ECC is installed, if it is a production version, there are usually only two languages-english and German. If you want a Chinese environment, you need to define the supported language types and import the language packs. If the Ides version is installed, the system already contains dozens of language packs, just set the configuration parameters to use Chinese.

Different SAP products, different versions, and the corresponding language packs are different, for example, ECC 6 SR2 and ECC 6 SR3 language packs are two distinct volume labels. In addition to SAP products, installing/updating Some component packages also requires that the appropriate language pack be Installed.

The example of this article is the language pack that installs ECC 6 SR3, the installation file is labeled 51033496_6, There are multiple language packs under this volume, the path of the Chinese package is lang6zh, the file name is zhecc63f.pat, and it is copied into the Server's usr\sap\trans\ before installation Eps\in path. After the import is complete, you can delete or remove the file from the Server.

The steps of the operation consist of two parts: defining the supported languages, importing the language packs, and other products such as srm, solution manager, and so On. Before doing this, the domain controller needs to be configured, see "transport management domain controller configuration", also need to activate the language code, see "activation language support (NLS)". Due to the problem of Chinese translation, it is done in English Environment.

Two Operation

Enter the thing code SMLT in the foreground or follow the path shown in Figure 1 to enter the Figure 2 Interface.

Figure 2 is the language management interface, which is the initial environment and contains only English and German Languages. Click the new Language button () to pop up the figure 3 dialog box.

Figure 6 shows that the system supports chinese, but the language pack has not yet been imported. Select the Chinese entry, click the menu "language→import package", or click the button to pop up the figure 7 dialog Box.

Figure 7 is the Import Language dialog box, before doing this, you need to put the language pack file into the Server-specified directory (see the previous article), click the "find package" button, the system will automatically find the language pack information allowed to install, 8.

Figure 8 indicates that the language pack is correct and can be imported, set before the import operation, click the "Settings" button, and pop up the figure 9 dialog box.

Figure 9 is the import Language Pack parameter Settings dialog box, where we set the number of processes to run at the time of import (set to 3) and set the import to all clients (import into all clients). When set, press the Confirm key () to Exit.

When all is set, check the run information (10) on the right side of the dialog box, the import operation can be immediate, or you can specify the time automatic action, which is performed in the Background. This example we choose to operate immediately, Click the Execute button, click execute, the system pops up the Figure 11 dialog box, Select "Yes" to Continue. The system then pops up the Figure 12 dialog box, indicating that the import operation has Started.

Three Import status Query

The import operation will take a while, because it is running in the background, during which time the SMLT interface can be exited and the SAP GUI can be closed. The following two methods are available to view the health of the import Operation.

One way is to see when running smlt, 13, the state of the Chinese entry is different from the English one, and there is a car running description on the diagram that is being executed.

Another way:

After installing SAP ECC6.0 ides, The default can only be shown in English or german, to display chinese, You must manually activate the Chinese language pack, the following steps:

one, The execution of transaction code smlt, to view the installed language pack, the General Language pack default is already installed in the system, but not activated. Click the Language Information button on the right side of the chinese, navigate to the Supplementation language marquee, Click the Change Settings button at the bottom of the window, then supplementation Language Select Chinese in the box, click Save.

second, go back to the list window of the language pack, click the Supplement Language button on the right side of the chinese, enter a description, and then click Execute to start the operation, and SAP initiates a background task to activate the language pack. Click the Back button to perform SM37 view background jobs, You can see a task named Sap-language-sup zh, the status of active, click the Refresh button to see the operation, when the status becomes finished, the task has been completed, This process takes a long time, and my machine takes more than 20 minutes to look at.
