ADT is a plug-in provided by Google for eclipse to develop Android applications. It can also be installed online or offline.
1. Online installation:
Select help à install new software and enter https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/in work with. A Newer Development toolswill appear, but my computer cannot connect to the Internet. I downloaded adt-0.0.9.zip.
2. Offline installation:
Just like the previous one, I did not enter a URL in work with, but clicked add and location to remember achieve. Then I found the ZIP file of the ADT you downloaded:
Then you will see the update tools:
Select next, and you may need to restart it later. If the Galileo version is not selected but is a normal version, the following warning may occur, causing the ADT to be unable to install: Warning: You are installing software that contains unsigned content. the authenticity or validity of this software cannot be established. you have to download Galileo again.
Android simulator Configuration
After restarting, we will find something more in the eclipse toolbar: This is the effect of installing the plug-in. If you click the simulator button (down arrow button), an error is reported because the simulator has not been configured yet. Configuration method: windows --> preferences --> Android, add the path of the compressed package that was first decompressed to the SDK location: Android-SDK-Windows
Then OK. Then, click the simulator button to display the configuration interface. You can also perform software updates in the future:
Choose Virtual Devices --> New to create a new Android simulator. Because different mobile phone versions provide different services, you need to create multiple simulators for testing:
Then create AVD. Then select the Simulator version and click Start to display the simulated mobile phone interface:
