Install the video player SMPlayer 14.3.0 on Ubuntu and its derivative versions.

SMPlayer is an open-source and free video playing front-end software (such as GNOME player MPlayer) based on MPlayer. The latest version is 14.3.0.

Supports full screen rewriting, audio balancer update, Blu-ray disc playing, and multimedia key improvement. For more information, see release notes.

Install on Ubuntu/Mint Linux:

Run the following command to start the terminal:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: rvm/smplayer

Sudo apt-get update

Sudo apt-get install smplayer smtube

Run the following command to delete the PPA and remove the software:

Sudo apt-get install ppa-purge

Sudo ppa-purge ppa: rvm/smplayer
