I found a problem during usage today. The previously playable rmvb file cannot be played. I remember that there was a decoded rpm package that was not installed. this time I installed it, OK, and I can play it again. & Mdash; 2013.7.22CentOS comes with a totem player, but the function is limited. in the past two days, you can play a wmv video, but you cannot play it with this video. In fact, mplayer is also good when SMPlayer is installed, I just don't like the page very much. install a third source first.

CentOS comes with a totem player, but it has limited functions. in the past two days, we can't play a video of wmv. we finally installed SMPlayer. In fact, mplayer is also good, but the interface is not very fond of it, install rpmforge. Here are the installation methods: http://www.ienter.org/html/2013/07/87.html
After installing the third-party source, you can install SMPlayer on the supervisor.
# yum install smplayer
It is quite easy to install, but after installation, only the sound can be played and there is no image. This should be a decoding problem. now the mplayer decoder is installed. here
Http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
Here we have mplayer-codecs and mplayer-codecs-extra. all of them have been downloaded and I don't know the differences between them. I only installed the first one, after using it for a while, I found that I could not play rmvb. I tried to install the second one and then I could play it back. so install it all.
# rpm -ivh mplayer-codecs-20061022-1.i386.rpm
After the installation is complete, play the video with SMPlayer. it's okay.
After the installation, there are two systems. one is the built-in totem, and the other is the SMPlayer, which is useless. delete the first one directly.

OK. after deletion, only SMPlayer is available. it looks good and can be used normally.
A small problem was found during later use, that is, you can drag the video directly to firefox to play the video, but now the video cannot be played successfully, and you can view the error message, should it be firefox or the totem plug-in be called, and totem is deleted, resulting in unavailability. Here, you can open the first choice of firefox, select an application, and change all actions using the totem plug-in to "use SMPlayer, there is also a small problem in the use process, that is, it does not play in the firefox page, but directly calls the SMPlayer player to play in the player.
