Install Tomcat in Red Hat

1: Download Tomcat: Core

 

Apache.tomcat.6.0.26.tar.gz

 

2: To install Tomcat, you only need to decompress it:

 

Tar xzvf this.tar.gz // a folder named Apache. tomcat.6.0.26 will be created under the current directory.

 

3: configure the environment variable VI/etc/profile

 

Export tomcat_home =/usr/local/tomcat /......

 

Export Path = $ path: tomcat_home/bin

 

Note:VI commands must be accessed as root; otherwise, the system will prompt "this file is a read-only file", resulting in an error that cannot be modified successfully.

 

4: Source/etc/profile make the configuration file take effect immediately

 

5. Enter startup. Sh to start the Tomcat service.
