Today it is version 436, which was earlier than version 408. Because many new versions have been released, it has been updated. 1. Install and download Ubuntu10.04desktop. At the beginning, I downloaded the al version. However, after installing UNetbootin, I found that it was a text installation interface. Although it can be used, I felt uncomfortable. I. Installation

I downloaded Ubuntu 10.04 desktop again. I started with the al version. However, after installing UNetbootin, I found that it was a text installation interface. Finally, I selected Ubuntu, 1004_live, and then selected the desktop ISO file, and selected the U disk I want to use to start. For so long, I did not find that this Tsinghua-like USB flash disk is 4 GB, haha, the bigger the better. Then copy the ISO file of the desktop to the USB flash disk. Then restart the system.

This operation was successful. After the startup, select default. After 10 seconds, the system starts to enter liveUSB. To the desktop. Then we found that the wireless driver was unavailable. I have b43, so I found a root network cable and directly connected it to my laptop. Basically, there is no problem. Then I installed the USB flash drive that was used to install the system on the computer. This is Kingston's 8 GB disk. It was last made at the clip. I have been waiting for this day. I have nothing to say about the language, time zone, and keyboard at the beginning. I mainly want to install it in my/dev/sdc, in fact, I did not dare to confirm it at the beginning. I just clicked on the system --> system settings --> Disk utility. After selecting and installing it in SDC, I originally wanted to manually partition it. Later I thought it would only take 8 GB in total. If I had to manually separate it, I would just try to use the entire disk.

Note that before the disk is officially installed, there is a summary: it was not intercepted at the time. At this time, there is a very important point, click on the Advanced button, in the pop-up dialog box, the gurb is loaded on/dev/sdc. If this option is not selected, it seems that it is on/dec/sda by default, and the USB flash drive cannot be moved to the office. In fact, my USB flash drive is only used in my notebook. When gurb is loaded on/dec/sda, a redundant menu of starting gurb appears on the computer, which is not very nice.

Ii. Settings

1. Network

After installation, connect the network cable.

In system> system Settings> language settings, update the language first. The system will install the ibus pinyin and five 86 records. In this case, the wireless NIC driver is installed in the system> system Settings> hardware driver. I am very simple. After the installation, the wireless network in the office was discovered. 2. Multimedia

3. Printer

5. Because it is a USB flash drive with limited space, many software can be deleted. For example, what does the tianchao Pimin want to do with this item?

Other things can also be uninstalled, all in the Ubuntu Software Center. If you are not pleasing to the eye, just unload it! But you need to recognize which ones are useless. Do not delete the error.

6. Nothing else to say. Let's talk about my notebook, which was bought in June 1, AcerTM5520G. Other problems are easy to say, mainly because the heat is too big. The system was automatically shut down for a while in the morning. Displays the part whose temperature has reached 101C. 7. openoffice.org provided by the system. A large set of programs does not support Windows doc format very well. We hope that wps is a linux version. Wps is really much more powerful. Although not big, the function is sufficient. That is, there is no linux version.

8. Because the system was just released, firefox always prompts you to install missing plug-ins. Is the flash plug-in. No. I had to leave it empty. It is estimated that the problem will be solved in the last few days.
