Install Vim on centos

In centos, only vim-minimal-7.x is installed by default. Therefore, whether you enter VI or Vim to view files, the syntax function cannot be enabled normally. Therefore, you need to install two other components with Yum: vim-common-7.x and vim-enhanced-7.x.
In the command line, enter:

 

Yum-y install vim-enhanced

 

If an error occurs when using crontab:

[Root @ 176177 ~] # Crontab-e
No crontab for root-using an empty one
/Bin/sh:/bin/VI: no such file or directory
Crontab: "/bin/VI" exited with status 127

 

Run # Yum-y install Vim *

Yum automatically installs these two components. In vim, syntax on takes effect.
