Install VirtualBox virtual machine in the Backtrack System

0 × 01 prerequisites

First, you have to connect to the Internet,
By default, bt5 does not start the network. Therefore, you must manually start the network after it is started.
There are many ways to start the network: (1) Enter start networking in the command line; (2) run the command ifconfig eth0 up first, and then run the command dhclient eth0.

It shows you how to install VirtualBox 3.2 in Backtrack. With VirtualBox, you can create and run a customer's operating system ("Virtual Machine") in a host operating system, such as Linux and Windows. There are two ways to install Virtual: In some releases, you can use PUEL license-based pre-compiled binary version, or use the source code published through GPL for installation. This article shows how to install VirtualBox 3.2 in pre-compilation mode.
This blog does not provide any type of guarantee! I want to say that this is not the only way to install such a system. There are many ways to achieve this, but this one is what I use. I cannot make any guarantee that this method will be suitable for you!
Install VirtualBox from pre-compiled binary files
First open a Terminal (Applications> Accessories> Terminal ):

Open/etc/apt/sources. list...

Command:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Then add the VirtualBox Repository:

Deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian karmic non-free
Then add the public key of the VirtualBox repository to your system...
After adding the file, click save to save it.

After saving, exit and enter the following command:
wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -
Then update your software package database:
Command:
sudo aptitude update

After the software package database is updated, run the following command:

apt-cache search virtualbox
(This command is very powerful-0-you can find all the tools you need here .)
Search for the update.

Virtualbox-3.2 lie in our software update data-0-can proceed to the next step ..
Command
sudo aptitude install virtualbox-3.2 dkms

(Dkms ensures that the VirtualBox Host module can be correctly updated after your Linux kernel version is changed .)
After entering the Enter key,
Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?] Enter y, and the virtualbox-3.2 will be downloaded.

-The download process is estimated to take several hours. I hate... Download the video. It's almost the same as watching a movie.
During the installation process, you will see a pop-up screen: ask if you want to compile, press enter, and then select yes. Sao will be installed soon.

To start VirtualBox, click here: Applications> System Tools> Oracle VM VirtualBox (if you cannot see the VirtualBox initiator, log out of the desktop and log on again ):
