Install WinXP on the Qemu Virtual Machine in Linux

Install WinXP-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application on the Qemu Virtual Machine in Linux. For details, refer to the following section. I used to install Linux on a vmwarevm in Windows like most Linux beginners. because I have spent most of my time working and entertaining in Linux, I have virtualized Windows XP in Linux to debug webpages or log on to the ICBC website.

First install qemu
I use Debian to run the apt-get install qemu command, or you can use other methods.

Install qemu GUI front-end qemu-laucher

Because I am not a full fan of command lines, I installed qemu-laucher to start running qemu.

Set qemu and install WinXP
After qemu-launcher is started from the desktop menu

1. Cancel Snapshot Mode, because this option indicates that you only press Ctrl + a s to write the running result of the VM to the disk file of the VM.

2. Select the Use CD-ROM because we need the drive to install the operating system.

3. Fill in the Hard Disk 0 column with the files of your virtual Disk in Linux. You only need to fill in the files that qemu will create.

4. The default memory size is 128 MB. You can set it to a proper size based on your physical memory.

5. Set CPU, sound card, and video card.

Launch Button. WinXP is successfully installed!
