WINDOWS 7 installation methods can be divided into: the disc installation method, the simulated optical drive installation method, the hard disk installation method, the USB flash drive installation method, the software boot installation method, and the VHD installation method. Different methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. Before installing the system, it is very important to prepare the necessary emergency disks and backup of the old system. In case of installation problems, the system will not be caught off guard. The following details:
I. CD installation method:
Brief Introduction: the CD installation method is the most classic, compatible, and easy to learn installation method. It can be upgraded or installed completely (you can choose to format the old system partition during installation). The installation method is flexible. The 32/64-bit system can be installed flexibly without the limitations of the old system.
Method: 1. Download the ISO file of the related system installation disk and use it as a backup disk. (Skip this step if you have a CD)
2. boot into the BIOS (generally press DEL or F2 or F1 during hardware self-check, different computer settings are different), set to boot first for the optical drive. Press F10 to save and exit.
3. Enter the CD, restart the computer, and boot the CD to the installation page. Follow the corresponding options to install. When selecting the hard disk partition location, you can select a blank partition or an existing partition and format the partition. The rest will not be detailed.
Disadvantage: In the case that the WIN7 test version is full of days, this kind of Dial installation is undoubtedly the most luxurious, most wasteful, and least environmentally friendly method. We recommend that you use it only when you do not have or are not competent for other installation methods.
Ii. Install the simulated optical drive: (the installation may fail under certain circumstances)
Brief Introduction: the installation method of simulated optical drive is the easiest, and the installation speed is fast, but there are many restrictions. It is recommended for multi-system installation.
Method: In the existing system, load the system ISO file with a simulated optical drive program, run the installation program of the simulated optical drive, enter the installation interface, and leave sufficient space for the C drive during upgrade and installation. For multi-system installation, it is best to install the new system to a new blank partition.
Disadvantages: 1. Since the existing system disk cannot be formatted during installation, a single system cannot be installed cleanly. The space occupied by the old system files is also a waste of disk space. There must be an old operating system.
2. Because the old system partition cannot be formatted, the residual virus file may endanger the security of the new system.
3. The old 32-bit system cannot be installed, and the old 64-bit system cannot be installed.
Iii. Hard Disk Installation Method: (installation may fail under certain circumstances)
There are two hard disk installation methods:
1. Simplest hard disk installation method: extract the system ISO file to other partitions, run the SETUP. EXE file in the extracted directory, and follow the corresponding steps.
The limitations and disadvantages of this method are the same as those of the simulated optical drive installation method. Similarly, the old system and 32/64-bit systems cannot be formatted and cannot be mixed. It is recommended to install multiple systems.
2. Classic hard disk installation method: (similar to the PE boot principle)
Brief Introduction: installation is relatively troublesome, and the installation speed is fast, which can achieve clean installation. The difference from method 1 is that the old system files are not left, but the same 32/64-bit systems cannot be mixed.
Method: extract the ISO file of the system image to other partitions. The old system is divided into Windows XP and VISTA and above.
1. for installation of XP and the following systems, copy the following files to the root directory of the C drive: BOOTMGR, BOOT, EFI, and BOOT under SOURCES. run the following command to store WIM in the SOURCES directory of drive C:
C: ootootsect/nt60 c:
Restart the computer and boot to the Windows 7 computer repair mode. Select the DOS prompt, delete all files in drive C, and run SETUP in the installation directory to install.
2. Install the system above VISTA. You do not have to copy the above files. restart the system to enter the computer repair mode, select the DOS prompt, delete all files under drive C, and run SETUP in the installation directory to install the system.
Disadvantages: 1. Different Systems with 32/64 bits cannot be mixed, because SETUP and BOOTSECT programs with different bits and widths cannot run in an ectopic environment.
2. If the installation process is abnormal or interrupted, the system may fail to boot. So be sure to reserve the emergency disk.
Iv. USB flash drive installation method: (it is not a mass production USB flash drive. It is strongly recommended! Method)
Brief description: The USB flash disk installation method has similar advantages as the CD installation method, but it does not require a dial. Compared with other installation methods, it has many advantages:
1. It is not affected by the 32/64-bit system environment. If you install 64-bit WIN7 in a 32-Bit old system, or 64-bit install 32-bit WIN7, you will find that SETUP cannot run because the 32-bit system cannot run 64-bit programs. This method can solve various problems of incompatibility, and the installation speed is faster than that of the CD.
2. USB flash drive can be used as an emergency drive: In case the system fails to be started due to various causes, your USB flash drive will be your emergency drive :)
3. easy to carry, one preparation, multiple installation. Can be deleted at any time. If the new version is available, update the file.
4. This method is also suitable for card readers and mobile hard disks, especially mobile hard disks, which can greatly increase the installation speed.
5. Dual System or single system clean installation (disk C is formatted during installation ). This is determined by the options during installation. As long as the computer can boot with USB, the installation compatibility is best (equivalent to that installed on the CD ).
Method:
1. format the USB flash drive in VISTA/WIN7/2008 and set the USB flash drive partition as the boot partition (this is the key to successful boot installation !), Methods: "computer"-> "management"-> "disk management"-> "spot optimize disk partition", right-click and choose "format" and "set as active partition ". "Disk management" cannot be operated by using disk tool software adjustment. The traditional DISKPART method is not a necessary method. It is not applicable to most people because of the use of command prompt operations.
2. decompress the ISO image file of WIN7 into the USB flash drive. The simplest option is to use WINRAR to decompress it directly into the USB flash drive. Or use the virtual optical drive to load the file and copy it to the USB flash drive. The USB flash drive has been created.
3, the computer is set to boot (the old computer USB-HDD is set to the first boot, the new computer from the boot hard drive to choose the preferred disk, depending on the BIOS), press F10 save to exit, restart the computer and follow the prompts to install it step by step.
4. Only when the disk capacity is insufficient: extract the key BOOT files (refer to the hard disk installation method, including the BOOTMGR, BOOT, and EFI folders, and BOOT under SOURCES. WIM, about MB in total), and decompress all the files in the image to other hard disk partitions. After the boot is successful with the USB drive, select the computer repair mode and enter DOS, run SETUP in the installation directory of Hard Disk WIN7 to install it, but the installation will be more troublesome.
Disadvantages:
1. The biggest drawback is the need for a USB or mobile hard disk (I believe this is not a problem for most people ).
2. A very small number of computers cannot be guided by USB (I have never met it). In this case, I have to be honest with other installation methods.
V. Software-guided installation method (installation may fail under certain circumstances)
Brief description: external software is required for guidance (see the attachment). There is no 32-bit/64-bit restriction. It can be installed in a single system or multiple systems. The installation process is simple.
Method:
1. Use a virtual optical drive to load the system ISO image to copy the installation file or decompress it directly to the root directory (not a folder!) of the non-system partition of the hard disk with WINRAR !)
2. download and run the attachment. Select Mode 1 or 2 based on the old system environment. (Note: if you need to uninstall the Nt6 hdd Installer boot menu after the system is finally installed, you 'd better uninstall it in the old system ).
3. After you restart Nt6 hdd Installer, the installation page is automatically displayed. Mount it to another partition to form a dual system, and format disk C as a single system.
Disadvantages:
1. External software is required.
2. A specific system environment/boot environment may cause boot failure.
Vi. VHD Installation Method
Brief Introduction: VHD is a virtual hard disk file format of MS. WIN7/2008 has supported VHD format from the underlying system, so you can choose to boot the operating system in VHD. A new system installation method is created. Copy the VHD file, import the VHD file, and modify the boot file to access the 7/2008 system. This method is abstract and rarely described. If you are interested, you can find relevant information on your own.
