Installation package:
TIVsm-server-5.3.2-0.i686.tar.bz2
TSM532.tar
TDP FOR ORACLE
Objective: To enable oracle to use TSM as the third-party media management layer, back up RMAN backup sets and other files to tape, and automatically back up TSM Databases
Installation steps:
1. Minimal installation of CENTOS.
2. decompress tivsm-server-5.3.2-0.i686.tar.bz2, which contains two rpm files: server and tsmscsi. One is the server and the other is the driver of the device. They are all required. If you don't want to, install them first, remember to remind me that a package is missing. It will be available on the CENTOS disc. If it is installed, OK.
3. uncompress tsm532.tar, install the TIVsm-API.i386.rpm and TIVsm-BA.i386.rpm inside.
4. After all four rpm files are installed in the default path, the tivoli sub-directory is generated under the/opt Directory, which contains N items, such as the server directory and client directory.
5. Run the following command: export DSMSERV_DIR =/opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin.
Run: export DSMSERV_CONFIG =/opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/dsmserv. opt
Used to add a variable.
