1) Considerations for deploying powerpviot service on multiple servers

Powerpviot service is not a service provided by Sharepoint. To use powerpviot service, you must first deploy the workbook for Sharepoint in the SharePoint farm. For more information, see planning the deployment of a workbook in A SharePoint farm.

If the SharePoint farm is a multi-server farm, you can deploy workbook for Sharepoint to multiple application servers in an extended manner. Requests for query and data processing are assigned to these application servers. By default, requests are distributed sequentially, but you can change the allocation method to the server running status.

If the Web Front-end server is configured to host the SharePoint management center. After the application server is deployed with the workbook for Sharepoint, you need to install adomd. net on the Web Front-End Server. Because workbook for Sharepoint adds a Management Panel to this application, you must install the client library to ensure that reports and Web parts on the Panel can be connected to the panel data storage area.

If the Web Front-end does not host the SharePoint management center, you do not need to perform any operations after the application server has deployed the workbook for Sharepoint.

2) install powerpviot for Sharepoint

Step 1: run SQL server2012 Installation Software on the SharePoint farm server that needs to host the service instance

 

 

 

 

 

3) Configure powerpviot for Sharepoint

 

 

 

Click "verify". If the verification fails, click "deploy Green Flag" on the left for troubleshooting. If the verification passes, click "run ".
