Installation and setting of grads in UNIX, Linux, and Windows
Windows:
There are two versions of grads on Windows. The main difference is whether "X Server" is required. The following describes how to install x Win32 grads 1.8sl9 in WINXP (the 1.8sl11 version on Windows has some problems. We recommend that you use version 1.8sl9. For example, the installation method is described as follows:
1. Download grads1.8sl9.win32.exe;
2. Double-click it and install it as prompted. For example, install it in D:/pcgrads;
3. Set the environment: desktop-> right-click my computer, choose "properties"> "advanced"> "environment variables"> choose "path"> "edit" from "system variables" and add D: /pcgrads/win32e
-> Click "new" in "system variables"-> set the variable name "gaddir" with the variable value "D:/pcgrads/dat"
-> Click "new" in "system variables"-> set the variable name "gascrp" and the variable value "D:/pcgrads/lib"
As shown in.
4. Complete the settings and restart the system.
Note:
① The installation directory name should not contain spaces.
② The installation directory and working directory should be in the same drive letter; otherwise, errors may occur.
