Installation and uninstallation of ATI graphics card under Fedora11

I. Go to http://ati.amd.com/download the corresponding driver to the license hard drive, my t400uses ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3 *** series, file name is ati-driver-installer-9-9-x86.x86_64.run, download to/home/libo/soft
2. Open the command terminal and use the root permission (I like to use su ):
Su
Enter Password
3. Execute the following command:
Cd/home/libo/soft
Sh./ati-driver-installer-9-9-x86.x86_64.run
4. After the installation is successful, the graphic interface of the ATI installer will be opened. Use the default options. continue to the next step and finally prompt that the installation is successful!
5. Execute aticonfig -- initial-f (I didn't execute this command. It should be executed according to some articles)

Result 1: A black screen is displayed! You can kill me !! TMD's ATI!

Baidu only once knows that this is ATI's black screen trap. Helpless, the most effective way is to uninstall.
1. First enter the emergency rescue mode
Select the first default startup item in the GRUB menu, press the e key, select the kernel ***** item, press the e key to edit the item, and enter single at the end, press enter to return to the previous page and press B to start
2. After Entering the single mode, run the following command:
Cd/usr/share/ati
Sh./fglrx-uninstall.sh
3. Execute reboot to restart

After restart, you can access the graphic interface.

To sum up the following, it may be that I did not execute the aticonfig -- initial-f command after installing the atidriver (if you are interested, try to execute it and restart it. I don't want to do it anymore ), without any configuration, the system restarts directly. This may be due to the fact that the 3D function is enabled or the refreshing rate is too high, and the screen of the notebook is not supported. It should be a small problem, but I have no experience before and I don't know how to configure it.
