4.1 is a beta version of Alpha, this version is not made for dummies or many inconvenient installation programs. However, I quite like it myself.

A new Installation
Use WinRAR to extract files to C:mysql directory (default directory, worry!!) ), executing at the command line
C:mysqlinmysqld-??? --install
net start MySQL

Second upgrade installation
No big difference either from 3.23.x upgrades or from 4.0.x upgrades!
First of all, or to back up the old database, to prepare yourself a regret medicine!!
Then stop the current MySQL database and remove it from the service, and if Winmysqladmin is still running, be sure to close it!
In addition to the data directory, all with the 4.1 version of the file to overwrite the old version of the file!
Start MySQL with c:mysqlinmysqld-opt--skip-grant-tables from the command line, followed by execution
C:mysqlinmysql < C:mysqlscriptsmysql_fix_privilege_tables.sql establishes a new version of the award

If nothing wrong with the above steps, stop the MySQL c:mysqlinmysqladmin-u root shutdown.
