First, installation of Eclipse

In Ubuntu desktop mode, click Ubuntu Software Center in the taskbar, search for Eclipse in the search bar

Note: The installation process requires the user password to be entered.

After Eclipse is installed, enter Whereis Eclipse on the command line to find the installation path for Eclipse

Locate the plug-in directory in Eclipse in the files directory

Then find the Eclipse plugin in Hadoop/contrib/eclipse-plugin in the open a file directory window--hadoop-0.20.2-eclipse-plugin.jar

and duplicate a copy of the

Go back to the Eclipse directory, right-click in the middle of the screen, select Open in terminal, enter command:

sudo chmod 777 *-R

Copy the plugin Hadoop-0.20.2-eclipse-plugin.jar that you just copied to the Eclipse plug-in directory

Third, restart Eclipse

In the Eclipse menu, under window, select Preferences

Select Hadoop map/reduce to fill in the Hadoop installation directory into a text box or click Browser to find the file under the user name Hadoop, select and OK

Under the Window menu, select Open Perspective, select Map/reduce, and determine

Select Show View under the Window menu, select map/reduce locations in Map/reduse tools, and then determine

When these operations are done, you will see Map/reduce locations this small form in the Eclipse form

Right-click the Map/reduce locations form to select New Hadoop location, and in the popup dialog box, modify the port in Map/reduce master to: The port in 9001;dfs Master is: 9000, A name in Location name (my name here is: Mrchor)

At this point, Eclipse is installed and the Hadoop plugin is installed.
