Installation of ArcGIS Software under Windows 7

Most of the software in Windows XP is available for installation in Windows 7. I do GIS software development, if ArcGIS can not be installed, it may be abandoned windows7. I chose the most insured ArcGIS 9.3.

In fact, with the installation of XP no difference, mainly to talk about the two problems I encountered.

1. When installing ArcGIS Desktop, choose the latest LMSetup.exe 17.7M (contact me). When you choose to register the file, the direct open will automatically exit, you can use Notepad to open the copy, paste in. The next installation is all smooth and can be used.

2. Install ArcGIS engine. The installation process went well, including runtime and SDK. The problem is that when you import the registration file. ECP, the ECP file with no problem in XP is here but there is a problem, as shown in the figure

In the spirit of resolution, serious analysis:

(1). By manual filling method can be completed registration, you can conclude that the registration document itself is not a problem, the problem should be in the registration file format.

(2). Changes to the file with the extension. ECP,. txt have similar problems, both of which are officially supported formats, so the problem should not be on the extension, it should be in the format of the contents of the file.

(3). What should the format of the content be? First of all try to change the elements, registered version, registration time and so on location, no fruit.
