Installation of LSI MEGACLI Disk array management tool under Ubuntu

the server with Ubuntu system is turned on, but to see the status of the server RAID10, the LSI megacli Disk array management tool can be viewed by the following steps:

1. Add Update source

sudo vim/etc/apt/sources.list//add at the end

Deb Http://hwraid.le-vert.net/ubuntu Precise Main

sudo apt-get update//updating source

Note: Some warnings can be ignored, but if you are prompted with a GPG error, you need to add a certificate by following this command:

sudo wget-o-Http://hwraid.le-vert.net/debian/hwraid.le-vert.net.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add-

sudo apt-get update

2, Installation Megacli

sudo apt-get install-y megacli megactl megaraid-status

Speed issues can cause slow downloads. The download does not move, you can terminate the CTRL + C, and then run the previous command to download.

Download complete will prompt the configuration Postfix , choose not to configure: No Configuration

3. Display RAID card model, RAID settings, disk related information

sudo megacli-cfgdsply-aall

View RAID Status

sudo megacli-cfgdsply-aall |grep "state"

Note : Stateis optimal, which indicates normal. after replacing the damaged hard drive, the machine will automatically synchronize the RAID data, the status is degraded degraded state, do not need any other operation, just wait a few hours to fully synchronize data, restore the raid status.

4. View all Physical Disk information

sudo megacli-pdlist-aall

View disk size

sudo megacli-pdlist-aall |grep "Rawsize"
