Installation of mac OS X in virtual machines (applicable to all computer methods, especially computers with cpu that do not support hardware virtualization), macos
Preface
Previously I wrote an article about building an Object-C Development Environment on Windows and writing a HelloWorld program. However, Apple software is actually developed in mac OS X (OSX. I can't afford a MacBook, and I don't have an OS x system. What should I do? Now I want to use a virtual machine to install an OSX. Is that all right? Next we will discuss this issue.
Note: To install OS x on a computer, refer to installing OS X on a virtual machine.
Is my computer supported?
First, I would like to give you a very positive answer. You can install OS X on your computer. OS X systems are divided into many versions. Which version can be installed? After checking the information, Apple discards the 32-bit system from OS X 10.8. An important metric for installing OS X is whether the CPU supports Virtualization Technology (VT ). Therefore, this is where OS X of a later version can be supported. You can install the latest version on a computer that supports VT. A computer that does not support VT can only be installed on OS X 10.6.8. How can we determine whether the CPU supports VT? We use the securAble software (in the preparation section) to check whether the CPU supports VT.
For example, if the English letter in the third item says "No", it means that the later version of OSX cannot be installed. (Some may also contain the "Locked" keyword. In this case, you need to enable the virtualization option in BIOS .) We know the characteristics of our CPU, and it is easy to find the OS X system installation program that suits our computer.
Preparations
There are a lot of preparations. Besides software, you also need some knowledge. You need to have a certain understanding of the virtual machine, do not know the virtual machine to search for it. Blogger briefly introduces the OS X installation environment. Windows XP, virtual machine Vmware workstation 9. The required software is as follows:
1. Software
SecurAble
Vmware 9
Unlock-all (this software includes unlocking vmware OSX patches and vmware OS X drivers)
After securAble Detection:
Supported VT: OS X 10.8 and later versions
VT: OS X 10.6.8 or lower is not supported
We recommend that you use the image "OS x 10.8 Install DVD. iso" if you support VT. After the image is installed, it is OS X 10.8.4. If VT is not supported, we recommend that you use Dong Huang V2.2, which is also an ISO image without conversion. After installation, OS X 10.6.3 is used.
Appendix:
securAble (PCHome)
unlock-all
Support VT:
OS X 10.8.4 installation image (Thunderbolt)
Does not support VT:
Donghuang V2.2 installation image (ed2k address) Mac OS X 10.6.3
Donghuang V3.2 installation image (ed2k address) Mac OS X 10.6.5
(For details about vmware, there are a lot of resources on the Internet .)
Start Installation
Everything is ready. You can start to install OS X. Some leisurely CPUs support VT, while others do not. To carry forward the spirit of inquiry, Blogger has been installed on computers that support VT and do not support VT. To take care of everyone, I will discuss this in two cases. Check the type of your CPU.
Supported VT
Supports VT, which is easy to install. First, install Vmware and run unlock-all when Vmware is disabled. The purpose of unlock-all is to select Apple OS X when creating a VM.
The installation process was smooth and there were no problems. (If you do not want to install OSX, you can check the OSX installation tutorial on vmware and The OSX installation tutorial on virtualbox.) If problems occur during installation, you can add the "-v" parameter at startup, search the error information online to find the corresponding solution. After installation, directly install the driver. For more information about Driver Installation, see "install driver. After installing the driver, you can adjust the screen resolution. By the way, you can see a picture of successful installation.
VT is not supported.
If VT is not supported, it is the focus of this tutorial. First, create a new virtual machine. Select "Advanced (custom)" for the type and FreeBSD for the system. Select "SCSI" for the Virtual Disk type. The disk capacity is recommended to be greater than 10 GB.
After the VM is created, you must edit the VM settings. Select the optical drive, put the downloaded ISO image online, and click "advanced ". Change the IDE type to the SCSI type and select "SCSI ". After setting this, go to the OS X system to identify the optical drive.
Start the VM and wait for the boot interface. In the interface, press F8 and enter:
-v cpus=1 arch=i386 busratio=20
Its function is to enter the installer to install the 32-bit OS X system. Wait a moment. If the above settings are correct, you can enter the installation interface. Select the installation language, and then click "disk tool ".
The next operation is partitioning. Select the "partition tab", select the partition input and partition capacity, and click "application. Tip: It is difficult to modify the partition after the system is installed. The virtual machine does not matter. Blogger has a zone.
Disable the disk tool, and then select the partition to be installed. After the installation is confirmed, a "Custom" button will be displayed on the left side.
There are many kernels here, which are selected based on the descriptions below your CPU and components. You can select only one option. Blogger is an Intel CPU. Here the Legacy kernel is selected. After selecting, expand "hardware driver". We recommend that you select the one before "Ethernet Card, otherwise, the network card driver cannot be installed and OS X cannot be connected to the network.
The next step is a long installation process. Please wait. After the installation is complete, a prompt such as "Installation failed" will appear. You don't need to worry about it. In fact, the installation is successful now.
After restarting, enter the chameleon boot menu in the same way, select the partition you just installed, and enter the installation interface with the same parameters to continue the installation.
The remaining installation steps are very simple. Here we will not demonstrate each step.
Install driver
After the system is installed, install the driver. The installation of the driver is relatively simple. The installed image is decompressed in unlock-all and contains a darwin. iso file, which is loaded into the optical drive. Note: In donghuang V2.2 used by Blogger, you cannot directly change the disc. You need to enter the Finder, press the pop-up button next to the disc, and then change the disc.
After the CD is loaded, double-click "Install Vmware Tools" and Install the software normally. One minute before the installation is complete, the speed will be very slow. Do not force exit at this time. Otherwise, there may be a "five countries" situation. Just wait patiently, after the installation is complete, restart.
Display
Look! A computer that does not support VT can also use vmware to install OS X. Start from here to experience the OS X system. After installing the OS x system, what should I do next? In response to the preface, an IDE integrated development environment should be installed in the next step! In OS x, XCode can be used to develop OS X and ios systems. If you need to install XCode, you can find it on the Internet. Finally, I presented a "symbol" in OS X 10.6-snow leopard.
