Nowadays, many removable wireless NICs use usb interfaces. It is easy to apply such NICs to windows operating systems, however, if you want to apply a usb wireless Nic to linux, it is not easy. Due to driver problems, today I will simulate it in linux, enable the wireless Nic to work properly.
Because the physical machine runs windows OS, I completed this experiment on the vmvm. First, connect the wireless network card to the Virtual Machine
We can see that the chip of this Nic is Realtek. We only need to download the driver of this Nic linux on the Realtek official website.
RTL8192xC_USB_linux_v3.4.4_4749.20121105.zip:
First, we still need to unpack the package:
[Root @ station100 ~] # Unzip RTL8192xC_USB_linux_v3.4.4_4749.20121105.zip and enter the opened directory to view the files.
The driver file here is the driver of the chip.
Next, decompress the package.
Switch to the/usr/local/src/directory and go to the extracted directory.
From this we can see that there is a Makefile file, so we just need to execute make and then execute make install.
When we looked at the module, we found that it was not called.
In this case, we can restart the system to call it, but also use the command:
Now we can see this module.
