Installing Kali and Windows together is useful. however, you need to install it with caution. first, make sure that you have backed up important data on your computer. because we want to modify your hard disk, you should back up the data to another media. once you have completed the backup, we recommend that you read the hard disk to install Kali Linux to understand the basic installation process of Kali.
In this example, we will install Kali Linux and the unique Windows 7 system on the hard disk together. we started to partition WIndows again to reduce the size of Windows partitions, so as to install Kali Linux to the new empty partition.

Download Kali Linux and burn it to a DVD disc, or prepare a Kali linux Live USB flash drive as the installation media. If your computer does not have a DVD drive or USB port, refer to the network to install Kali Linux. Hardware requirements:
- Windows has at least 8 GB of free space
- Support CD-DVD/USB boot
Prepare for Installation
- Download Kali Linux.
- Burn a Kali Linux DVD disk or create a Kali Linux Live USB flash disk.
- Make sure that your computer BIOS is configured with boot from CD/USB.
Dual-System Installation Process
Start installation. Start from the installation media you selected. You will see the Kali boot interface. Select Live, and then you will enter the Kali Linux Desktop.
Use the username root and password toor to log on. Next, run the gparted program. We will use gparted to reduce the size of windows partitions to provide sufficient space to install Kali.
Select Windows partition. select a larger partition based on your system conditions. in this example, there are two partitions. The first partition is the system recovery partition. In fact, Windows is installed in/dev/sda2. re-adjust the size of the Windows partition to reserve (at least 8 GB) space for Kali Linux.
After partitioning, make sure that you click "Apply All Operations" on the hard disk. Exit gparted and restart.
How to install Kali Linux
The installation procedure is similar to the previous hard disk installation of Kali Linux. In addition to selecting "Guided-use the largest continuous free space" When partitioning (the partition created using gparted is used in the preceding section ).
After the installation is complete, restart. You will see that the GRUB boot menu has Kali and Windows boot items.
