First, the installation of Virtual Machine Tools in Linux requires a file named "Linux. iso" in the VMware installation directory. My VMware version is 6.0 and green. There is no way to ask a friend for a linux. iso file in the 5.5.3 virtual machine. This is not a big problem. Compatibility with other versions is not tested. Then attach the CD of our VM to this iso image file ,:
