Installation of MongoDB under Windows

The latest version of MongoDB is downloaded under the Download menu on the official website: http://www.mongodb.org/downloads

1: Unzip the database under the MongoDB

2: Create the Data folder under the Bin directory and create the DB and Logs folders under the Data folder

3: Start MongoDB Service

Go to the cmd command line and switch to the bin directory to execute the following command

Mongod--dbpath=data\db--logpath=data\logs\mongodb.log--port=40031--servicename "MongoDB"

command to start and close MongoDB service

Start: NET start MongoDB

Close: NET STOP MongoDB
