Note: Because ORACLE 9I is 64-bit, the installed AIX platform must also be 64-bit. If it is not necessary to reinstall or use the Connection Library Function to change it to 64-bit

3. Oracle version

1. Download jdk1.3.1 for aix from the ibm website. Download The liences of jdk1.3.1 and use the tar command to unpackage the two files in the same directory.

2. Use smitty installp for installation. Select jdk1.3.1 and jdk1.3.1license. Pay attention to Preview new LICENSE agreements? Select yes. Otherwise, an error occurs during installation.
3. As the bos. rte. libc version is prompted during installation, update to the ibm website to download the update package https://techsupport.services.ibm.com/server/aix.fixsearch51. Other update packages can also be downloaded.
4. Install the downloaded five update packages and reinstall jdk.
5. Change/etc/environment path to/usr/jdk13 and relogin

3. Start Installation

After runInstaller is run, the system prompts you to run rootpre as root. sh, and then select y for normal Installation. We recommend that you select custom for "Installation Types" to install components. Generally, you do not need to create a database during the Installation process, this can be completed separately after the installation is complete. A prompt will be displayed to run orainstRoot. sh script. When link is about to end, the system will prompt you to run root. sh, as required.
