Recently, I was working on a data migration project. The installation of the Oracle 9i Database was stuck. No error was reported when I checked the background logs, and the log was quite regular. Sometimes it was 27%, sometimes in 85%, sometimes in 99%, and sometimes in 100% time points, such a strange problem is also the first time encountered, asked many people said they did not encounter this situation, I found out from google that I chose custom installation when installing the database, and then removed the Apache component to install it successfully. I found that the progress bar can run to 100% after the Apache component is removed, but it still got stuck at 100%, I spent a lot of time searching for problems and tried to cancel unnecessary installation components. I found that the database can be created normally after EBusiness Management is removed, however, the NETCA and EM configuration interfaces are very stuck, so they are stuck. In the end, our database was created using this method, but the answer to this problem was not found. I have always suspected that this is not the reason for the database. In the end, we will lock the target on the XMANAGER graphics software, because we use the machine on the customer's Intranet to install the database, the XMANAGER version on the PC of the customer machine is 3.0 and 4.0, and we used version 2.0 before. We used version 2.0 to install the database to solve the problem, later, I learned from the Internet that XMANAGER 3.0 and 4.0 have bugs in specific circumstances, which can lead to database freezing. Although the cause of this phenomenon is unknown, however, we still remind DBAs to use the old version 2.0 to work with XMANAGER!
