Installing and configuring Debian on the ASUSz99jn-sl

Install and configure Debian-Linux Release Technology-Debian information on the ASUSz99jn-sl. See the following for details. First, hardware information:

Installation Process:
1. Go to the debian official website to download the latest 4.0r1, and the first disk will be ready. You can also use netinst.

2. The installation process is very simple and you will soon be able to install the basic system.

Configuration:
1. Select the software package source based on the network, such as China Telecom, China Netcom, and China tietong. Do not use the unstable branch. Just use testing.

2. First Run apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade.

3. Switch the testing branch to unstable, install the linux-image-2.6.22-2-686, and related linux-headers packages. Remember to switch unstable back to testing after installation.

Unsolved problems:
1. Fn + F6 does not work. It should have been used to adjust the screen brightness. Acpi_listen cannot catch the event.

2. The fan speed cannot be obtained, and the fan speed cannot be controlled. The fan has been running at full speed since it was started. Run lm-sensors-detect to obtain the hard disk temperature and cpu temperature only.

3. The display will flash every other time (it seems to be a quick start/stop switch ).

4. The microphone of the sound card is abnormal and can only be disabled. Otherwise, when the alsa service is started, the sound will make a harsh noise.
