Installing Oracle Database 11 on Windows

1: inserting the Oracle database 11G Setup disk into the CD -ROM automatically runs the program and opens the Welcome window

2: Eject "Select installation Type"

3: Popup "Make home Directory Details" 'Oracle Base directory ': Value for setting environment variable oracle_base , ' name of software location ': Used to specify Oracle installation path of the software

4: Popup "product-specific prerequisite check"

5: "Select configuration Options", where ' Create database ' is used to establish a general database, ' Configure Automatic storage Management ': Build ASM database, ' Install software only ' for installing Oracle Databases 11G software.

6: "Select Database Configuration": ' General purpose / transaction Processing ': Database for OLTP system establishment, ' Data Warehouse ': For DSS System Build Database

7: "Specify Database configuration Options": ' Global Database name ': Used to specify database unique name identity:db_name.db_domain ( the former is used to represent the database name, which is used to identify the network domain name ) ; 'SSID': Used to specify the database routine name

8: "Specify Database Configuration Details": ' Memory ': make total memory configuration; ' Character set ': Set the character set for the database; ' Security ': Configure security options, ' sample scenario ': Used to specify whether to install the sample scenario

9:"Select Database management options": Used to specify that the database is managed using Grid control or

: "Specify Database Storage Options": ' File System ': Make use of file system database files, ' Automatic storage management ' is used to specify Storage Management for simplified database using ASM.

One: Backup and option recovery: lets you specify whether automatic backups are enabled

: "Password specified for database scheme": Used to specify password for database user sys,system,sysman,dbsnmp , set all accounts to the same password

: "Oracle Configuration Manager Registration": for setting racle Configuration Manager

14: "Profile" is used to list Oracle Database 11g Global Settings product language, space requirements, and installed components.

15: Click "Install"

16: After the installation is complete: Oracle automatically runs the network configuration Uzhushou and the database Configuration Assistant, and displays the prompt message.

17: "Password management": Unlock the account, set the user password;

18: Unlock Scott account (password: TIGER), HR account (password: HR), SH account (password: SH), PM account (password: PM)
