Microsoft launched the long-awaited Windows 10 IoT Core Preview (Windows IoT core Insider preview Image for Raspberry Pi 2) on April 29, 2015 for Raspberry Pi players.
This is the first time Windows login Raspberry Pi, the following Raspberry Pi Lab shows you how to install WINDOWS10 on Raspberry Pi 2. Before installing, make sure you already have a computer running the WINDOWS10 Technology Preview.

Something to prepare.

1. A computer with the WINDOWS10 Technology Preview installed
2. Raspberry Pi 2
3.5V Micro USB charger, support at least 1 A current, recommended 2A
4. A 8G Class 10 (or higher) Micro SD card, recommend this
5.HDMI line, if you need to pick up the monitor.
6. Network cable

Write Windows 10 IoT core Preview to your SD card

Microsoft provides a tool to install WINDOWS10 on the SD card, the following steps need to be run under the WINDOWS10 system (build 10069 or update).
Follow the instructions below to configure your SD card:
1. Note: Be sure to complete the physical machine, do not use the virtual machine, because you will need to use to the SD card reader.
2. Download windows_iot_core_rpi2_build.zip (select Windows_iot_core_rpi2_build.zip download) and save the Flash.ffu file on your computer after extracting it locally. You can also go to the Microsoft Official website to download, but need to complete some registration before the download option appears.
3. Insert the SD card into the card reader.
4. Open the Administrator command-line prompt and use the CD command to switch to the same directory as the Flash.ffu file.
5. Find the corresponding disk number for the SD card, which will be used later. You can run these commands at the command prompt to see:

123 diskpartlist diskexit

6. Use the command prompt to write the system image to your SD card, you can use the following command (be sure to match the disk number found in the previous step, for example, your SD card number is 3, then use/APPLYDRIVE:\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE3):

1 dism.exe /Apply-Image/ImageFile:flash.ffu /ApplyDrive:\\.\PhysicalDriveN /SkipPlatformCheck

7. Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the taskbar to remove the SD card safely. If you do not do this, the system image may be corrupted.

Start your Raspberry Pi.

1. Insert the micro SD card which has been written by the above steps to write the system.
2. Connect the network cable through the LAN port of the Raspberry Pi motherboard.
3. Connect the HDMI video cable.
4. Connect the micro USB charger.

Start Windows 10 IoT core preview

1.Windows 10 The IoT core preview will start automatically after power-up.
2. The system needs to be configured during the first boot of the system, and a blue background program will be displayed during the configuration, and the Raspberry Pi will start automatically after a few minutes. The system will then go to the default app, showing the IP address of the Raspberry Pi 2.

3. Follow this instructions to use PowerShell to connect to the Raspberry Pi
4. It is recommended that you modify the default administrator password by following the documentation for PowerShell.
5. The remote debugger will run automatically when Raspberry Pi 2 starts.
