Installing JDK under Linux

1. Download jdk:https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

2. Place the downloaded jdk-8u101-linux-x64.tar.gz in the/usr/lib directory

3. Setting environment variables: # Vi/etc/profile

4, profile Add the following content:

Export java_home=/usr/lib/jdk1.8.0_101

Export classpath=.: $JAVA _home/lib/dt.jar: $JAVA _home/lib/tools.jar

Export path= $JAVA _home/bin: $PATH

5. Let the changes take effect: # Source/etc/profile

6. Verify JDK Validity:

#java

#javac
