Latex is a computer typesetting software. Through it, we can write very beautiful articles. However, Latex is not simple. Instead of using the mouse to manipulate the text, Latex uses a line of code to enter instructions to the computer. However, with simple rules, it is not difficult to use latex to compose small articles. In fact, I am a college student and sometimes use Latex to record class notes. The author is not latex experts, there are many times will be on the internet to find some of the use of commands and so on. With Latex, we can easily lay out such mathematical formulas:
Using Tex on a Mac is more convenient and efficient than a Windows system. If you want to install Tex under your Mac, you can download the MacTeX installation file on the official website. When the author writes, the version of MacTeX is 20150613 and the OS version used is 10.10. After a simple test has been confirmed (official web page also has written) MacTeX can work well on the Yosemite.
Once the download is complete, install the package with the suffix named pkg and execute the installation package directly on your Mac.
After the installation is complete, you can get some Tex-related software, where the TeXShop software is the text editor that comes with the installation package.
In fact, MacTeX has a good support for Chinese after the normal installation. We can now open the texshop directly and write some content in it. For example, let's write the following code:
\documentclass{article}\usepackage{ctex}\begin{document}hello, \latex! Hello, \latex!. \end{document}
Select a path to save this file with the suffix named Tex, if you know the encoding of the text then I recommend choosing UTF-8, because it supports more text. Finally, choose the layout instruction as Xelatex (for example).
This is the end of the prep work! Then click the Layout button to automatically pop up a window that previews the PDF (for example) after a series of log outputs. This window is actually the result we see after the latex layout.
In addition to this PDF file, along with the resulting suffix of log, aux and other files, these are the latex work automatically generated files, we can not ignore. Of course, you can also choose to delete them--that doesn't affect your typography work.
Here, this time the content is over, thank you. If something is found, it will be added. An explanation of each line of the command is written in the next article.
