If you need to compile C program with sublime text 3, please refer to the article: using sublime text 3 and MINGW-W64 compiling C language Program
MinGW, full name minimalist GNU for Windows, is a ported version of the GCC compiler and GNU binutils on the Windows platform. MINGW-W64 was originally a branch of its own, and later became an independent development project. Since only MINGW-W64 is supported by GCC authorities, and MinGW has already stopped updating, it is recommended to use MINGW-W64. This article describes how to install Mingw-w64 in Windows.
We assume that you are installing the MINGW-W64
D:\MinGW
If you change the installation directory, the configuration contents of the environment variables below should also be changed according to the actual
I. Installation of MINGW-W64
Download the installer by visiting the following link:
Open the installer when the download is complete
This window will appear when you click Next and wait a moment.
Here you can choose to install the version, it is recommended to change only the second item to x86_64, the other options do not change
Here you can choose the installation directory, we assume that you install the
D:\MinGW
Click Next and start the download installation
Wait a moment for the installation to complete, click Next to complete the installation
Two. Configuration of environment variables
In the system variable path, add
D:\MinGW\mingw64\bin
If you are using Windows 10, configure it as shown
If you are using a system prior to Windows 10, the configuration process is basically the same and only the last step is different
In Windows 7, for example, at the beginning of the variable value of path, add
D:\MinGW\mingw64\bin;
Be careful not to omit the end of the half-width semicolon (;), otherwise the configuration will not take effect, and other problems may arise.
Next, create a new system variable named C_include_path, and the value of the variable is
D:\MinGW\mingw64\include
As shown
You can also create a new system variable named Cplus_include_path for C + + with the same variable value.
You can open a command prompt window, execute the GCC command, verify that the configuration is correct
If the prompt content is the same, the configuration is correct. Otherwise, check your procedure.
