Installing MySQL on ECS (CentOS6.5)

    • First check to see if MySQL has been installed on the server

Command:

grep MySQL

Results:

You can see that the mysql-libs is already on the ECS. This does not affect the installation.

    • View the MySQL database information provided on the Yum server

Command:

Yum grep MySQL

Results:

    • Installing the MySQL server

Command:

Yum Install mysql-server*

Results:

    • Start the MySQL service

Command:

Service mysqld Start

Results:

    • Go to MySQL command line mode

Command:

Mysql-h Localhost-u root–p

Results:

So MySQL is installed, of course, you can also configure MySQL according to your needs.
