Installing MySQL5.6 under Windows 7

First, the software download

Download the version of the response from the MySQL official website, mine is 5.6.17.

Second, the installation process

Run the Setup program with administrator privileges to gather information.

Choose to install the MySQL product, if it has been installed before, then choose the update.

Agree with license, note is the GNU type of license.

Select the time to view the updates.

Select the installation type.

Select all or part of the features.

Final check before installation of various components.

Install each component.

Choose the type of configuration: The development type, the use of less resources, less service, server-type, occupy more resources, provide more services; Dedicated server type, occupy all resources, provide all services. It is recommended to select server type.

The default port number is 3306.

You can choose whether to support TCP/IP, or network access if supported, otherwise you can only use it natively.

Provide the root password.

Provide an additional user and password.

Specify the service name and indicate whether to start with Windows.

Environment configuration.

Installation is complete.

Start Workbench, make simple connections and queries. Done.
