Installing NetBeans IDE in Ubuntu

There are two main ways to download and install NetBeans IDE. One is to download a package file that contains JDK8 and NetBeans. This combination makes the application running on the Java platform highly scalable.

This package is available for download from here.

Another way to get NetBeans is to download and install it directly from its official download page. In this way, you can selectively download a full package with components like the NetBeans platform SDK, Java FX, Java EE, Java ME, HTML5, C + +, Groovy, PHP, and Apache, Tomcat 8.0.

There are five optional downloads, select the one you want, and then click the Down button.

Installing the Java JDK before installing NetBeans

Before you install NetBeans, you must install the Java JDK. No Jdk,netbeans is not installed. Read this article to learn how to install Java JDK.

After installing the Java JDK, continue with the following NetBeans installation.

If you choose an Oracle company version, the JDK is already integrated in the download package file, and all you need to do is run the executable file to install both the JDK and NetBeans.

Once you have downloaded the installation package you need, run the following command to make the installation package executable.

The above command assumes that the file has been downloaded to the download directory of your Ubuntu system.
