Installing the EUML2 plug-in for Eclipse and possible dependency error resolution (RPM)

EUML2 is a powerful, eclipse-based modeling tool for UML applications. Developers can translate models into Java code during UML development: ensure software quality and reduce development time.

Required conditions

• Java Runtime 1.5 or + for Galileo/eclipse 3.5.x
• Java Runtime 1.5 or + for Helios/eclipse 3.6.x

We recommend that users set the Eclipse.ini file according to the following parameters:

-vmargs -xms90m -xmx456m -xx:permsize=128m

Open Eclipse Update Manager by following these steps Help- Install softwares-Available site

Enter http://www.soyatec.com/update in the Address bar, you can see the plug-in can be downloaded after the return

Check all and then install next

Errors that may occur are as follows:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed:euml2 free Edition 3.6.0.20110120 (Com.soyatec.euml2.free.feature.group 3.6.0.20110120)
Missing requirement:euml2 free Edition 3.6.0.20110120 (com.soyatec.euml2.free.feature.group 3.6.0.20110120) requires ' Org.eclipse.uml2.feature.group [3.0.0.v200906011111,4.0.0) ' But it could isn't be found

Solution:

"0" Help > Install New software ...
"1" Add the Galileo update site (if you don ' t already has it): Http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo
"2" Expand ' Modeling ', and select:

1) ' Emf–eclipse Modeling Framework SDK '

2) ' Graphical Modeling Framework SDK '

"3" click ' Next ' and complete the update installation.
"4" When prompted, restart Eclipse.
"5" Add the update Site:http://www.soyatec.com/update/galileo and install the required version.
"6" Restart Eclipse.

For Win7 x64 + eUML2 free Edition 3.6.0.20110120 + required plugins for Helios/eclipse 3.6.x

1/install Eclipse
2/install new Plugin:help > Install new software
Select Work With:helios-http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios
Write EMF in field below
Install Emf-eclipse Modeling Framework SDK
Restart Eclipse
3/install new Plugin:help > Install new software
Select Work With:helios-http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios
Write GMF in field below work with
Install graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) runtimes
Restart Eclipse
3/download
Euml2-free-edition-3.6.0.20110120+dependencies_for_eclipse3.6.zip
From EUML2 website
In Eclipse install new Plugin:help > Install new software
Click Add > Archive and browse to your downloaded file
Follow installation process
Restart
Your done
