2, installing VMware Workstation Pro 12.0:

Second, the configuration work before installing the operating system on the virtual machine:

1, run start VMware Workstation


2, create a new virtual machine, default "Typical" configuration, click Next.


Select "Install the operating system later" and click Next.


Select the operating system you want to install, choose Windows8,windows7 for your needs, choose Linux (Default to Ubuntu, and choose Ubuntu 64) and click Next.


Note the installation location, try to select a large volume of disk, click Next.


Specifies the disk capacity, which defaults to 20G, and can be configured according to individual circumstances. Click Next.


You generally do not need to change the settings, click Next.

Click Done. a virtual machine is created to complete and will be input related configuration and system installation on this virtual machine.

Three, Ubuntu system installation Preparation:

1. Select "Edit Virtual machine settings"


The memory, processor and other devices are configured in turn. Memory Use recommended 1GB, also can use 2GB.

Set up the processor.


Note:the CD/DVD selection uses the ISO image file and selects the downloaded system ISO file storage path

Other options can not be changed, click OK to finish;

The preparation has been completed before installing the system and is now in the installation system stage.

Four, install the operating system:

1. Select "Turn on this virtual machine"


Ubuntu supports multiple languages, default 中文版. You can choose the language according to your habits. The system provides trial and installation, not as a developer, and can be selected for trial.

After the virtual machine starts: Use Alt+ctrl to switch the mouse between the computer and the virtual machine.

Ctrl + Alt +enter switch to fullscreen.

If the interface resolution is too small, it can be set in the system settings.
