Installing the Hive Graphics development plugin under Eclipse--toad for Cloud Databases

It is inconvenient to knock SQL statements in Hive and the table data displayed after a large amount of data is very poor readability.

Later, a plugin with hive was found in Eclipse marketplace

Here are the steps for installing Toad for Cloud databases and connecting to hive

Click the Download button

Open Eclipse

Enter the name (custom) of the software in the Name field, enter the URL in the location, click OK, and then click Restart Eclipse

Open a Perspective view of toad

Right-click to select Connect to Hive

1. Write the IP address of the hive host

2.hive Port, default is 10000 if not changed

3. Select the hive version, where the highest version is only 0.7.1, I use 0.13.1, can be used normally

4. Select Jobtracker Port, default is 50030

5. Tick connect with SSH

6. Enter the user name for SSH

7. Enter the port number of SSH, default is 22

8. Select Password Authentication, enter the password

Click OK.
