Installing the Sun Java__java in the Ubuntu 10.04+ system

Source: Internet
Author: User

For some reason, in Ubuntu 10.04 and the newer Ubuntu system, the default official data source does not already contain the SUN-JAVA6-JDK package, but we can install Sun Java from another data source.

Add additional data sources first:

Add-apt-repository "Deb Http://archive.canonical.com/lucid partner"

To update a data source:

sudo apt-get update

At this point, you can install Sun Java

sudo apt-get install SUN-JAVA6-JDK
