For many developers, you may not be using the Ubuntu operating system. In this case, developers need to install VirtualBox in their own operating system (OS X and Windows) and install Ubuntu and Ubuntu SDK in VirtualBox. In order to facilitate the installation of everyone, we have made a good image. This image contains Ubuntu Utopic (14.10) and Ubuntu SDK. You can download and install the SDK at once. The installation steps are described below.
1) Download the latest VirtualBox from Https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
Note: When we download VirtualBox Yes, be sure to choose the appropriate version according to your system.
2. Double-click the VirtualBox file that you just downloaded and install it 3) download Ubuntu virtual machine (the smallest Ubuntu 14.10 Desktop version and the Ubuntu SDK already installed in it) 4) After you finish, double-click the downloaded file " Ubuntu+sdk.ova "to import into VirtualBox and run it
Note: During the entire installation process, the user name and password required are "Ubuntu/ubuntu"
After installing the entire SDK, we can refer to the article "How to install Ubuntu OS under VirtualBox" to set their own Chinese input method and file sharing. You can further install your own "ARMHF" and "i386" chroot by referring to the article "Ubuntu SDK Installation". The entire installation of the chroot process may take some time. Need to wait patiently. When the entire installation process is complete, we can proceed to the next step of development.
