Integrate multiple images into one PDF

Source: Internet
Author: User

The pictures scanned by a book, each in the format of about 8 MB or TIF, can be easily carried as a PDF file.

Basic process: first convert the convert in ImageMagick to PDF, and then combine these single-page pdf files with pdftk to get the final PDF file.

Convert, the PDF is relatively large, convert Resize is annoying, and it seems that the image quality is not good after the compression is too small. First, convert it to JPG. The result is very good.

Command:

For file in *. tif do convert $ File $ {file/% TIF/jpg}; done;

For file in *. jpg do convert $ File $ {file/% JPG/pdf}; done;

Pdftk *. pdf cat output./result.pdf
