Microsoft and Cisco environments:

In Cisco Certified learning, we need to use a number of classes of simulators, but these simulators are not able to more realistically simulate the phenomenon of our user machine in the application. As a result, we use Microsoft's environment to more realistically reflect some of the applications in the network we are building.

Microsoft Environment: Windows Server 2003, in virtual machines (VMware), we install Windows Server 2003 that can reflect real servers and hosts in the network.

Cisco Environment: Simulator GNS3, installed in the real machine.

Target: In GNS3, you can set up an analog network to connect the server in the virtual machine, which is equivalent to the real service in the network.

Implementation steps: As shown in the complete environment:

1, in the GNS3 drag two 3600 models of routers R1 and R2, as well as a cloud.

2, right click on the cloud click Configure-->c1, and then proceed to the left option configuration

3. Select VMware Network adapter VMNET1 in the network adapter drop-down menu under the Ethernet NIO tab

4. Click the Add button and then click on the adapter that appears in the picture box below--click OK.

5. Click Add link in the diagram--Select Fast Ethernet link to connect R2 and R1 as well as R1 and cloud C1, and click on the network adapter generated on the cloud C1 to establish a connection. Network topology is completed, and the same as the original given environment, press the power button after a series of related configuration.

6, according to the requirements of the environment to configure each router.

7. Open Virtual Machine win Server 2003 in VMware, and bind the virtual machine NIC with Win Server 2003. First select the network-->setting in Win Server 2003.

8. Bind in Tabs.

9. In the virtual machine, right-click the network neighbor--Properties--right-click Local area--and properties--double-click Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to configure the address, and so on on the General tab.

10, in the virtual machine in the operation of Win Server 2003 cmd: Ping router R2 loopback0 loopback port 192.168.1.1, simple to see whether connectivity, to prove the success of environmental integration.
