A backend user proxy (b2bua) and a SIP User proxy (sip ua) are provided to support intercommunication and interaction between devices in the home network and the IMS core network.

SIP devices with sip ua can be registered on Higa. For IP devices, such as a set-top box compatible with dlna, Higa inside the SIP UA
Function can be used as a proxy for initialization and registration. B2bua then translates the SIP registration message into an IMS registration message and sends it to the IMS core network.
In this way, the IMS user agent can provide powerful support for b2bua isim-based security authentication.
After registration, the IMS intercommunication function of Higa can negotiate session parameters according to the following features:
- Functions of home devices (retrieving relevant data from the device management database );
- User preferences (managed by the identity management function ).
In this way, IMS can negotiate and configure media streams (such as video conferencing phones or on-demand movies) to ensure the QoS of the media.
