Step 1: Install the plug-in
1. Download Free org.vssplugin_1.4.1-2.0-compability.zip to the local directory;
2. Decompress org.vssplugin_1.4.1-2.0-compability.zip;
3. Copy the org. vssplugin_1.4.1 folder after compression to eclipse_path \ plugins. (eclipse_path is the installation path of eclipse)
4. Restart eclipse;
5. Help-> about eclipse platform-> plug-in details: Check that the plug-in is successfully added;
6. Window-> customize perspective ..., In the dialog box, hook the VSS-related options in WINDOW> show view and other, and click OK.
Step 2: Use VSS in eclipse
A. Share a project
1. Right-click the share project and choose team> share project.
Select VSS Configuration Wizard. In the following pop-up window, enter the VSS database logon name and password, and select the directory of the VSS document library (that is, the Directory of the srcsafe. ini file)
Next, select the corresponding directory on VSS, select the directory of the project to be shared, and click Next.
2. Right-click the project and choose team> Add to VSS.

B. Obtain an existing project from VSS
1. Get the project from VSS to a local folder.
2. Select import in eclipse, select the project you just got, and create the project in eclipse.
3. Right-click Project Team --> share project
4. Configure the VSS directory in the same way as.
5. Team --> refresh
6. OK
