Intel will acquire all the outstanding shares of Wind River system at a price of USD 11.50/share, which is 44% higher than the Wednesday closing price of Wind River system shares. Wind River system was established in 1981 with a staff of more than 1600 people. Last year, the company announced a reorganization, targeting mobile phones, car infotainment, network equipment and some aerospace and defense departments, in October acquired the South Korean mobile applications development company Mizi Research.
