Intel plans 900 million dollars to acquire software developer Wind River

Intel will acquire all the outstanding shares of Wind River system at a price of USD 11.50/share, which is 44% higher than the Wednesday closing price of Wind River system shares. Wind River systems, which is due to release the first quarter report after the close of Thursday, has been growing in recent quarters.

Wind River system was established in 1981 with a staff of more than 1600 people. Last year, the company announced a reorganization, targeting mobile phones, car infotainment, network equipment and some aerospace and defense departments, in October acquired the South Korean mobile applications development company Mizi Research.
